The Transportation Research and Injury Prevention Centre (TRIP Centre) at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, is organizing its 32nd International Course on Road Safety and Road Safety Audit from 05-19th December 2022 at TRIP Centre, IIT Delhi, New Delhi, India.
This two weeks course will bring together professionals working the in the area of Road Safety, Transportation Planning, Safety Promotion and acquaint them with state-of-the-art information. The course is especially designed for an interdisciplinary audience of traffic and road engineers, behavioural scientists, mechanical and automotive engineers, law enforcers and police officers, focuses to give a global perspective on the road safety problem.
The course has designed in two modules. Module 1A is available for candidates who are willing to acquint knowledge of road safety in general and no minimum qualification is required.
Module 1B is designed for those who wish to have IRC Certification from IRC. The minimum qualification for this module is B.Tech(Civil) or equivalent degree. Participants will need to submit practical audit report and a written exam and should have minimum successful percentage set by IRC. Certificate of participation will be issued on successful completion of the course to all participants.

The course will have a limited number of participants, who must have a working knowledge of English. The participantswill be selected on the basis of their involvement in transportation planning and road safety research, involvement in policy making and implementation of safety measures. An attempt will be made to have a balance mix of engineers, law enforcers and social scientists.

The faculty members associated with TRIP-Centre have been involved in safety research for the past two decades. The Institute has been designated as the WHO Collaborating Centre for Research and Training in Safety Technology. The members of TRIP-Centre have expertise in epidemiological studies, designs of vehicles and safety equipment, traffic flow modelling, transportation planning and care of injured persons.
i) Qualification for RSA course with IRC Certificate: The minimum requirement for attending the Certification Course is B.E / B.Tech. Degree in Civil Engineering
ii) The task of accreditation of an individual as Senior Auditor / Team Leader or Road Safety Auditor would be evaluated / scrutinized by the IRC’s main committee for Accreditation.
iii) IRC will carry out fresh exam/ evaluation of each candidate before issuance of accreditation.
